Welcome to Reception!

This half term we are enjoying all the new and exciting challenges that starting school brings.

Our inspirational text is called 'You Choose' by Nick Sharratt and Pippa Goodhart.

You Choose - book, teaching resources, story, cards, mat, sequencing, primary

We are going to enjoy using this book to encourage the children make choices based on their likes and interests. We are also going to be making links to lots of other stories based on their experiences and enjoyment of books.

In our pirate topic this half term, we are going to compare and contrast characters from stories, including figures from the past. We are also going to comment on images of familiar situations from the past, making comparisons between then and now.
