Remember the battle ends on Sunday. The last few weeks have been really close (less than 1000 points between the two classes). Can you work to get those extra points for your class!?

Maths 

Today you will need to order and compare decimal numbers. You will also need to recognise and write decimal equivalents of any number of tenths or hundredths.

SPAG

Today you are going to continue with past perfect tense (had). However, in the last four you will also need to add in a either a simple present or past tense verb. (SPAG Friday)

Examples:

The days ___________________ (become) colder after it ___________________ (snow).

The days became colder after it had snowed.

Because she ___________________ (not check) the oil for so long, the car ___________________ (break) down.

Because she had not checked the oil for so long, the car broke down.

Writing

Today you are going to complete your non-chronological report. Complete the second paragraph with subheading, a fact box and anything else you wish to include. Once you have finished. Take a few steps back and look at it. Does it stand out? Is it eye-catching? If not, can you had colour? Or anything else to draw in the reader’s attention.

Reading

Before re-reading the extract, try and complete the summarising challenge. How many facts can you remember from the extract this week? (Reading extract/ Reading - summarising).
