Today is spelling test day. Please ask someone at home to test you on the spelling list you have been practising this week and email your teacher with your score out of 20.

For our retrieval work today, you will be revisiting: fractions and multiplying using the short written method. Miss Collins will revisit these concepts with you on the 9:30 Zoom call.

Today you will be writing a biography about the prophet Muhammed. Use the timeline you created during yesterday’s afternoon challenge to help. Miss Collins will model how to do this on your 10:45 Zoom call.

Guided Reading

Today your task is to summarise the Martin Luther King text you have been exploring all week.

Writing Catch Up

Today we are focussing on verbs and adverbs. We will create a bank of verbs that are alternatives for ‘said’ and then add adverbs to make the sentences more detailed. We will then rewrite a passage, editing it and improving it.

Afternoon Challenge

We are going to look at some of the features of Greek architecture. Once we have picked out the similarities your task will be to design your very own Greek temple. You can even dedicate it to one of the Greek Gods! There’s a video to watch for extra information and a video on how to draw Greek columns too.
