The children's new text this half term is Grandad's Island.
The children will be thinking back to year 1 and preposiiton creating a list they know of or finding more examples.
Guided reading
The children will be looking at an extract from a book and using commas in a list write what they can see in the image.
Spelling
Ly words:
The spellings this week are ly words. Each session will have two activities to complete. Each session will have an explanation of each activity and the answers will be provided at the end of the document.
Session one’s activities are: Right from Wrong and BOGGLE.
Maths
Sides and Vertices on 2D Shapes:
Look at the learning video clips for support and guidance. Attached below is also a 2D Shape mat that children can use throughout the session.
Choose a colour to complete: Green, Yellow or Red and complete the questions on sides and vertices on 2D shapes. Each colour will offer fluency, reasoning and problem-solving.
