Maths
This week we will be focusing on place value. Today we will be looking at rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000.
So, a quick recap: Rounding means making a number simpler but keeping its value close to what it was so that the result is less accurate, but easier to use. For example 73 rounded to the nearest ten is 70, because 73 is closer to 70 than to 80. Remember, if there is a 5 in the ones column then the number rounds up. So 75 would be rounded up to 80.

English
Read through the PowerPoint on adverts (22.06.20 Writing Advert PPT). Your task today is to design and plan an imaginary product that you will create an advert for tomorrow (22.06.20 Writing Advert Plan). This could be a toy, an item of food or a game. If you are stuck for ides, use the advert ideas to help you (22.06.20 Writing Advert Ideas) as well as a word bank (22.06.20 Writing Advert Word Bank). Use the tick list below to check you have used the features of an advert in your plan. I have also attached a word bank to help with your vocabulary generation.
