TT Rockstars

Day four of the TT Rock Stars battle. Make your points count!

Maths

In maths today we will be looking at fractions. You'll need to recognise then, add and subtract them and identify the value of their digits as ones, tenths and hundredths. Look at the powerpoint to help you with this - it is really useful. If you need some help in adding and subtracting fractions have a look at this video: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zhdwxnb/articles/z9n4k7h

SPAG

Today we are going to continue with past perfect tense. Feel free to revisit the website we have been using (https://www.theschoolrun.com/what-are-the-present-perfect-and-the-past-perfect) if you need to.

Download today’s task (SPAG Thursday) and complete the activity. You will need to make the sentences past perfect in either the positive e.g. had or the negative e.g. hadn’t form. Check your answers after every two sentences to make sure you are on the right track. I have done the first one as an example below. Remember, some of the sentences start with conjunctions so don’t forget your commas.

E.g.

1. When I arrived at the cinema, the film ____________________ (start).

This becomes:

When I arrived at the cinema, the film had started.

Writing

Today you are going to use your plan from yesterday to start writing your non-chronological report. You can use the examples attached (Writing Non-Chronological Reports Mars) as well as examples of other chronological reports to help you. Today we would like you to complete the title, introduction, subheading 1 and paragraph 1. Remember to make your information stand out so you can use lots of colours and bubble writing for your title and subheading.

Reading

Re-read this week's extract and then complete the inference questions.

The items in brackets are the names of the resources linked to each subject.

Good luck with today's work.
