Science Project

Home learning looks a little bit different this week! We have not set you any maths, grammar or writing because we want you to all have fun getting hands on doing some investigating for our science topic 'Plants'. There is still guided reading and spellings to work on and this is all attached below.

Science

There are lots of activities for you to choose from each day so have a look to see which ones you fancy trying but make sure you check with an adult at home first before doing any of the investigations.

We would love to see what you get up to so remember to keep sending through your photos to our class email accounts. We have loved hearing from so many of you over the last few weeks.
The Year 2 Science Project is all about investigating plants!

Please remember...

• You should ALWAYS wash your hands after handling plants (including seeds), soils, composts, manures, equipment and other a related materials

• Plants (or parts of plants) can be poisonous, cause allergic reactions in some people or may have been treated with chemicals (such as pesticides). Always ask an adult before handling plants.

• You must NEVER eat plants, unless given instructions that you may do so by a trusted adult.

• Wild flowers should not be picked and it is illegal for anyone (without the permission of the landowner or occupier) to uproot any wild plant.

Have Fun!!!

Spellings

Year 2 spellings this week will be on some common exception words. Each session will have two activities for you to complete.

Guided reading

This week the children will be looking at stories with a moral. All the resources and answers are in the one document and I have attached the text.
