Homophones:
Session one: In session one the children will have two activities to complete. The first one is a gmae of BOGGLE. The children must find the homophones that are hidden in the BOGGLE grid. Some are not in the spelling list, but homophones from previous spellings. The second activity is Create a Memory Hook. The children must use both homophones to create a memory hook that will help them recognise the difference between both words. An example is shown within the document.

Grammar
Commas and Conjunctions: Look at the Learning clips to support this session. This should help sustain prior knowledge of commas and conjunctions.
Children can answer questions to support consolidation of commas and conjunction. Sometimes using more than one sentence and up to two conjunctions in a sentence.
They may also find and correct the mistakes made in a sentence with expanded clauses, using commas in a list and two conjunctions.
To address their knowledge and understanding they may finally explain which sentence is the odd one out, using commas in a list and two conjunctions
