Maths - Retrieval practice of formal methods of addition and subtraction

Today we are going to look back at the formal methods for adding and subtracting in columns. Look at the help posters to remind yourselves of how to set out your calculations. Remember to start at the ones column and work left. For a reminder of the methods watch these videos:

Look at https://www.theschoolrun.com/what-are-the-present-perfect-and-the-past-perfect again and complete the activity focusing on the present perfect tense (SPAG Tuesday).

Writing

Today we would like you to research and find out about a planet of your choice. Look at the non-chronological reports again about Mars (Writing Non-Chronological Reports Mars) thinking about the information and features that the reports present to the reader.

Use the suggestions in the guidance attached (Writing Non-Chronological Report Guidance) and the planets quick facts (Writing - Planets Quick Facts) to help you with structuring your research.

Reading

Read this week's extract from 'Surivival in Space: Apollo 13 Mission' then complete the vocabulary activity. (Reading extract/ Reading - vocabulary).
