Maths - Efficient subtraction

During year 4 we have looked at many different methods of subtraction, including mental and formal methods. Look at the help poster for a reminder of the different ones we have covered (Methods of subtraction). When you are calculating, these methods would get you the right answer but depending on the question certain ones are better than others. When you subtract efficiently, you choose the method that will get you to the answer the quickest, the easiest and the one you are less likely to make errors with. Complete the subtraction questions, selecting the method you think is the most efficient for the calculation. (Tuesday Maths).

SPAG

Go through the PowerPoint (SPAG Possessive Apostrophes 16.6.20) to look at how we use possessive apostrophes both in singular and plural form. Complete the apostrophe activities (SPAG Apostrophes 16.6.20 and SPAG Apostrophes 2 16.6.20).

Writing

Look at the picture of the small house (Writing Small House 16.6.20) and complete the two tasks.

Guided Reading
